We have made it to the last post of this series! Thank you all so much for following along! I hope you’ve been making progress so far and have enjoyed this series. If you’ve missed any, the links will be at the bottom.

Today I would like to share with you a few things about setbacks that may happen along the way. They will happen. They will probably happen several times, but by following the advice in previous posts, hopefully you will be able to get past those setbacks and keep moving closer toward your goal. Do NOT lose sight of that goal!

There are 3 reasons why your goals may fail:

  1. You don’t have a clear plan.
  2. You don’t take action.
  3. You doubt yourself, or you listen to negative voices.

I’d like to share with you some of the biggest obstacles I’ve faced when trying to meet my goals.

*lack of time
*lack of resources
*lack of confidence

Many times what we see as obstacles aren’t really as big as what we think they are. We have a tendency to blow things out of proportion and then we get discouraged by what we believe to be true. And while my obstacles and your obstacles may be very real… We may be waiting for our circumstances, finances, or whatever to be just right… Chances are, you will never have “ideal” conditions. The best thing to do is to just take baby steps if you have to. Do what you are able to do NOW.

When obstacles or roadblocks come, deal with them as best as you can and keep moving. Don’t let it discourage you from achieving your goal. Whether you come through those challenges on top or you allow them to crush you is up to you. It’s really a matter of how you view those situations.

It may take you a year longer than expected to accomplish your goal, but does it matter? Isn’t the accomplishment part what’s important, regardless of how long it took to get there?

Just don’t, don’t, don’t give up. Keep at it! It will be worth it!!
This is a photo I took of a daffodil I found growing in some rock and gravel in a parking lot, all by itself.
