We all need time off. We get overloaded, overwhelmed, and stressed out. We need time to recharge. That is what I aimed to do Valentine’s Day weekend. Although, it didn’t quite turn out as I had planned.
My entire day Saturday was spent cleaning. When you have a toddler in the house, cleaning is all you do. I swear my children follow behind me and make a mess as soon as I clean it up. I think “Oh, good job, Casey. You’ve folded laundry and washed dishes.” Meanwhile, a nuclear bomb has gone off in the living room.
Sunday we went to church, and while we were there it started snowing like mad. It didn’t amount to much, but it sure was cold. Came home to do some more cleaning, before I passed out at 8pm. This old mama has been going to bed when the kiddos do lately, because I’ve been plum exhausted.
I did manage to finish a gorgeous scarf (for me) this weekend and start a cowl AND finish the hat part of a Yukon hat, which brings me one hat closer to my goal. I’m planning to make 20-30 Yukon hats for the holiday season (October-December), which means I need to have 5 made by April 10th. I’m trying to space it out a bit, rather than making all 30 in a week.
Look how pretty my new scarf is though!!! ♡
And it’s so much prettier in person!! ♡♡♡♡
