I hope you are all enjoying this, albeit shorter than usual, Christmas season. Here in central Kentucky, we have ice, snow, and yarn in our weekend forecast. I am busy whipping up Christmas orders. It feels like I am surrounded in yarn!
I really like this time of year. The lights, the colors, the decorations, the chilly air and snow, and the sparkle. This time of year just has a sparkle, both in our decorating and in many of our hearts & faces. If you have kids, you know the sparkle on their little faces when they look at that Christmas tree for the first time in the season. You know the sparkle on their faces when they wake up on Christmas morning. The sparkle in the eyes of the gift-giver as the recipient opens the carefully thought out gift. I just love it.
I have one of those giant Christmas trees. I bought it when I had a house in Washington. It’s about 6 1/2 feet tall and probably at least 4 foot at its widest. It’s huge. Way too huge for my apartment. I can’t make myself get rid of it because I’m hoping someday I can get it out again, but last year we had to buy a smaller tree. My daughter picked a pinkish purple one. I think the box said pink, but the branches look a bit purple to me. Anyway, I would like to share some of my Christmas sparkle with you.

This Christmas season, let your sparkle show through your decorations and, most importantly, your attitude. Let it sparkle!
